Waiting Together

The early church teaches us that effective mission begins with purposeful waiting. After Jesus ascended, the disciples didn't rush into action but gathered in prayer, anchored themselves in Scripture, and made decisions through humble obedience. This wasn't passive waiting but active preparation - seeking God's presence together, letting His Word shape their understanding, and trusting His timing. Before moving outward in mission, God roots us inward as His people through prayerful dependence, Word-shaped obedience, and humble trust in His sovereignty.
