Luke 19:45-21:4

Many of us give God our leftovers - the remaining time, energy, and attention after everything else has taken priority. When Jesus cleansed the temple, He wasn't just angry about money changers; He was confronting worship that had been displaced by religious activity. The temple was meant for prayer and communion with God, but it had become focused on transactions and convenience. As people made in God's image, we belong entirely to Him, not just our spare moments. Jesus illustrated this through a poor widow who gave two small coins - everything she had - while rich people gave only their excess. True worship requires moving from leftover devotion to all-in surrender, recognizing that because we bear God's image, our entire lives belong to Him.
